Description
International Jazz Day brings together communities, schools, artists, historians, academics, and jazz enthusiasts all over the world to celebrate and learn about jazz and its roots, future and impact; raise awareness of the need for intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding; and reinforce international cooperation and communication.
Performing onstage will be Dayren Santamaria & Made in Cuba band. Born in Matanzas, Cuba, Dayren's passion for music has taken her on a journey around the world and across musical styles. Her band Dayren Santamaria & Made in Cuba is comprised of Grammy winners and recording artists Oscar Hernandez (Piano), Raul Pineda (Drums/Timbales), Joey De Leon (Congas/Vocals), Alfred Ortiz (Vocals/Percussion), and Ross Schodek (Bass).
