DESCRIPTION:The California High-Speed Rail Authority is conducting a series of Preferred Alternative (PA) Open House Meetings for the Los Angeles to Anaheim Project Section. The section is part of the first phase of building the nation's first high-speed rail system and runs approximately 30 miles connecting Los Angeles Union Station to the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) using the existing Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) rail corridor.\n\n \n\nAt the meetings\, learn about the staff-recommended PA to be carried forward in the Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIR/EIS). Information on new and existing grade separations (at railroad/street crossings)\, possible train station relocations\, and other proposed project features\, such as communication towers and local safety improvements will also be presented.
