DESCRIPTION:"Arts in the Garden" is the Fullerton Arboretum's annual event that invites kids\, ages 5-12\, to join in on several creative and informative classes spread throughout the garden. Nine unique classes offer a different facet of the art world for the children to explore. You have the chance to pick a unique schedule of four of these classes that will suit your child's interests and expand their creativity.\n\n\n\nThe classes offered during this event are:\n\n \n\n   1- Make Music: Learn about music and create your own rhythmic instrument and play a piece with our maestro!\n\n \n\n  2 - Spirit Stone: American Indian culture believes that all plants and animals have a spirit and each plays an important role on our planet. Create your own spirit stone to honor your favorite animal or plant.\n\n \n\n  3 - My Tree: The Drawing Board will lead participants through a found object mobile that includes step by step art instruction & recycling branches & leaves from around the arboretum.\n\n \n\n  4 - Let's Rock!: Creative Movement for Children from CSUF Momentum Dance Studio will lead you through a series of creative movement that will get you moving.\n\n \n\n  5 - Beautiful Botanicals: Paint a beautiful botanical drawing that is worthy of framing.\n\n \n\n  6 - WHO wants a new friend?: Create an owl friend out of a pine cone.\n\n \n\n  7 - Illustrious Leaves: There is more to a leaf than its color. Learn how to draw the details and how to use your pencil to shade and create a more realistic drawing.\n\n \n\n  8 - Colorful Turtles: Pattern a terrific turtle using fabric and various materials.\n\n \n\n  9 - Mother's Day Card: Use colorful tissue and construction paper to create the perfect card for your awesome Mom!\n\n \n\nWhen you arrive\, your child will receive their personalized schedule so they can get to each of their chosen classes with ease.
