Major Road Work @ N. Harbor Blvd.
Description
Construction is set to begin Wednesday, July 20, on street improvements on Harbor Boulevard and Bastanchury Road as part of the St. Jude Medical Center Expansion Project.
The work is expected to be completed in March, 2012.
The project will include:
- Replacement of the retaining wall, landscaping, sidewalk, and curb and gutter along the St. Jude frontage on Harbor.
- Construction of a northbound right-turn lane on Harbor at Bastanchury.
- Extension of the median island on Bastanchury, east of Harbor.
- Pavement reconstruction of the northbound lanes on Harbor, between Valencia Mesa Drive and Bastanchury.
Extra steps will be taken to minimize impact of the project on businesses; however, noise and vibrations may be experienced in the project area due to the construction activity.
St. Jude Medical Center is funding the improvements.
