Description

The Muckenthaler will be hosting the "Artfully Managing" conference from 8 AM- 6 PM on February 16, 2012 sponsored by the Orange County Community Foundation, Arts OC, and the Boys & Girls Club of Fullerton. We expect 60-100 attendees. Costs for attendees is only $20 thanks to our sponsors and includes all food (breakfast, lunch and cocktail party appetizers). Some scholarships are also available. RSVP to Janette Pyun at janette@themuck.org.  Space is limited.  We will accept people on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This is a great opportunity for non-profit staff, students, interns, or those thinking of starting a non-profit to learn the basics of non-profit management with an emphasis on arts and culture (However many things will translate to all non-profits).

The event will include:

8 AM: Breakfast Networking (fruit and donuts, juice and coffee)

9 AM: Strategic Planning to Success- Zoot Velasco, CFRE, Muckenthaler Executive Director

10:30 AM: Budgets for Dummies-    Presenter  TBA

12:00 Noon: Grant Writing 101- Zoot Velasco, CFRE, Muckenthaler Executive Director

1 PM: Lunch with Key Note Speaker- Shelly Hoss, Executive Director of Orange County Community Foundation (“Why A Nonprofit Management Career?”)

 2 PM: PANEL: Developing the Dream Board- Fred Ouweleen, CEO Pacmin and Muckenthlaer Board Chair; John Krakowski, Non Profit Executive Coach & Former HR Director at Northrup;Pam Keller, Executive Director of Fullerton Collaborative;  Zoot Velasco- Moderator
