SUMMARY:Memorial Day 2024 in Yorba Linda
DESCRIPTION:The Yorba Linda Veterans Memorial Association is pleased to announce that we will be holding our traditional Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday\, May 27\, at 2 PM. Our keynote speaker at this ceremony will be retired United States Army Major General Mark Toy\, General Manager of the Yorba Linda Water District. General Toy served our nation in uniform for over 35 years in the Army Signal Corps\, retiring in 2022 as Chief of Staff of United Nations Command. In addition\, Tara Campbell\, Mayor of Yorba Linda\, and the Commanding Officer of the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU)\, have been invited to speak. The 11th MEU Color Guard will present the Colors\, pipers from the Los Angeles Police Emerald Society Pipes and Drums will be present\, and we will conduct the traditional Gold Star Roll Call followed by the playing of Taps. The event is open to the public\, and we will have a large tent set up to provide shade for many ceremony attendees. We also encourage bringing your lawn chairs.
